So it is important that you learn the basics of tire care and inflation so that you can avoid these unfortunate mistakes.

One thing that you must do if you want to be a successful driver is check your tires. Proper tire pressure is absolutely necessary for safe driving. So, what is the recommended tire pressure levels for passenger cars? The following list of recommended tire pressures are based on the weight of the vehicle and the typical driving conditions where the vehicle will be driven.

For passenger vehicles with a dry base, the recommended tire pressure is 5.4 pounds per inch of tire pressure. This means that for cars with a weight over 4.5 tons, the tires should weigh no more than five pounds per inch of tire. For cars with a wet base, the recommended tire pressure is 6.4 pounds per inch of tire pressure. This means that for cars with a wet base, the tires should weigh no more than seven pounds per inch of tire pressure. In addition, cars with a wet submersible tire should be inflated at the rate of seven pounds per inch.
